June 13 – 17
First Christian Church in Water Valley invites area youth to Rocky Railway Vacation Bible School: Jesus’ power pulls us through. Rocky Railway VBS is scheduled June 13 to June 17 for kids from Pre-K (four years of age) to high school seniors. VBS runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each day.
Kids will discover through life’s ups and downs that Jesus’ power will pull us through. Kids will participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork building games, enjoy an evening meal in the dining car, take part in one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, meet some interesting Bible Memory Buddies to remind them to trust Jesus, and make fun crafts they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with the Rocky Wrap-Up that gets everyone involved in living what they learned.
Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 8 p.m.

June 25 – 27
The public is invited to the Annual Meeting scheduled the fourth weekend in June (June 25 – 27) at the Yalobusha Primitive Baptist Church.
Services start Friday night at 7 p.m. and continue Saturday morning, June 26, at 10:30 a.m. There are no afternoon services Saturday, but lunch will be served.
Elder James Hall will bring the word Sunday morning, June 27, at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will follow Elder Jerry Wise is the invited minister. Elder Hall serves as pastor of the church, located at 5810 Hwy 315 South East, Water Valley.
