Turner Named Information Technology Officer At Mechanics Bank

Mechanics Bank recently announced that Thomasina Turner has been named Information Technology Officer. Turner’s primary responsibilities are to ensure the bank’s computer systems are well maintained, protected, functional, user-friendly and on pace with emerging technologies. She will also continue to provide management and support to the Bank’s Data Processing Department.
Turner joined Mechanics Bank 16 years ago as a Data Processing Supervisor and has progressively assumed more functional and management responsibilities. She oversees all technology special projects and the introduction of all new technology to the bank.
She is a graduate of Water Valley High School. In 1999, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology from University of Mississippi. She is a graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking at Ole Miss and has completed The Training Consortium, receiving her designation as a Microsoft Certified IT Professional. Turner currently serves as Secretary for the Jack Henry & Associates Gulf State User Group for banks located in the Southeast Region.
Turner is married to Keith Turner and they have one son, Brandon Turner. She is the daughter of S.T. and Edna White of Water Valley. Turner attends Bayson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Water Valley where she serves as a secretary. She loves traveling, baking cakes, and spending time with family and friends.
