Crawlin’ Gets Started Thursday

Art Crawl co-directors Zac Danneman and Becca Finley put the finishing touches on one of 11 lawn installations that are part of this year’s Art Crawl. This year’s Crawl is a combination of lawn installations and window installations featuring over 80 artists ranging from age eight to 80. The Crawl starts Thursday and runs to November 7.

WATER VALLEY – Over 80 artists ranging from age eight to 80 will have work on display in the 13th Annual Art Crawl that runs from Thursday to Nov. 7.

Sponsored by the Water Valley Arts Council, the Crawl includes 21 storefront window installations in a walkable route that starts at the Person residence at 101 North Court Street and winds down Main Street, Railroad Avenue and Blackmur Drive before ending at Sartain’s True Value plus a drivable route for 11 lawn installations sprinkled through town.

This year’s theme, “Reveal, Rejoice, Remember… the 2021 Art Crawl Experience” includes first time artists, an entire third grade class at Davidson Elementary School and many well-known local artists.

The complete list of artists includes Andy Olson, Bijou David, Bill Warren, Deb Freeman, Nicole Folsom, Karie Sue McCaleb, Alexis Kordik, Becca Finley, Betsy Corso, Blair Johnson, Chloe Burrows, Coulter Fussell, Davidson Elementary School 3rd Grade Garden Class, Elise Lago, Elizabeth Hamilton Smith, Eric Lago, Erin Austin Abbott, Ginger Bennett, Hannah Hester, Hannah McCormick, Hanna Waldo, Jackie Egdorf, James Jordan, Jenna Trusty, Jermorias Campbell, Jeremy Booker, Joe Tidwell, Jonathan Clark, Kalaila Folsom, Kelly Hendricks, Kyle Camp, Laura Shields, Lauryn Gallagher, Linda & Jamie Scott, Lynn Bella, Mari Foster, Megan Patton, Mike Scroggins, Nicole Folsom, Pati D’amico, Sien McNatt, Shannon Chiles, Skylar Smith, Thomas Grosskopf, William Beaver, Zachary Danneman and Zach Fields.

Maps can be picked up during the two-week crawl from the B.T.C. Grocery, NAPA Auto Part, Russell Furniture Gallery and Turnage Drug Store. A Google map link will be available online (www.mainstreetwatervalley.org/art-council) starting on October 28.
