Hills Will Celebrate 50th Anniversary

The members and friends of Faith Baptist Church in Water Valley are hosting a 50th wedding anniversary reception for Dr. Bob Hill and his wife, Virginia, following the Sunday Morning Service on Sunday, August 7, 2022. The reception is to be held in the church’s gymnatorium, located directly behind the church’s auditorium building. The celebration starts at 12:30 and concludes at 2:30 p.m. and features a covered-dish luncheon.
Dr. and Mrs. Hill began their ministry at Faith Baptist Church on July 7, 2000. They celebrated their 22nd ministry anniversary on Sunday, July 3. Dr. Hill formerly pastored at Faith Bible Church in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia (1974-1976) and at Calvary Baptist Church in Miamisburg, Ohio (1977-2000). Prior to moving to Water Valley, the Hills, along with their 10 children, lived in Lewisville, Texas where Dr. Hill served for several years at Accelerated Christian Education, Inc. as Vice President of Product Development.
Virginia Hill, having a degree in education, successfully home-schooled their 10 children for nearly thirteen years. Before teaching her own children, Virginia taught first grade at Hamilton Christian Academy in East Ridge, Tenn., at Calvary Christian School in Miamisburg, Ohio and, in later years, at Faith Christian Academy in Water Valley.
Pastor and Mrs. Hill currently have 10 children, 27 grand children, and two great grandchildren. They are anticipating their 28th grandchild in early 2023. Presently, the Hill children are adults, most with families of their own. Their children’s occupations include: Vice President of a Software Development company, an engineer, a teacher, an attorney (who also has Ph.D. in music education), a corporate bookkeeper, a medical doctor, a missionary, a bank officer, a nurse, a legal secretary, and a senior financial accountant.
Dr. Bob Hill is the author of several books – mostly Bible commentaries, as well as Christian discipleship materials. His books are available on the internet at HillcrestBooks.com.
