Tina Tatum Frierson
OXFORD – Tina Tatum Frierson, 57, of Oxford passed away on November 3, 2022. She was born in Water Valley on July 21, 1965, to George Winston Tatum and Mary Elizabeth Ward.
The funeral service was held Monday, November 7, at 2 p.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home.
Tina graduated from Lafayette High School and studied education at the University of Memphis. She volunteered with 9 Lives Cat Rescue and enjoyed traveling with her family, shopping and floral decorating.
Tina was preceded in death by her father, George Winston Tatum. She is survived by her mother, Mary Elizabeth Ward; a sister, Melissa Tatum Williams; five sons, Christopher Lee Frierson (Jennifer), William Joseph Frierson, Joshua Garrett Frierson, Kyle Mitchel Kang (Ashley), and Tyler Blake Kang; and four grandchildren, Matilyn J. Frierson, Annabelle Lee Frierson, Taylor Joseph Frierson and Walter Reed Frierson. She was expecting her fifth grandchild.

WATER VALLEY –Charlotte Grass passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022. She was born April 8, 1939, in Yalobusha County. Visitation is scheduled Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Services will follow Thursday, Nov. 10, also at the funeral home. Louise Taylor Marion
WATER VALLEY – Louise Taylor Marion (Lou Lou) passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. She was born March 6, 1944 to the late John T. and Velma Harper Taylor of Grenada.
Louise received Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Church of Christ in Coffeeville until her health started to fail. She worked as a seamstress for Kellwood for many years. When she resigned from Kellwood, she became a homemaker and started to care for others.
She loved talking on the phone with her family and friends every day. Louise was the type of person that would speak her mind to whomever it may be.
Louise is forever in her daughters heart, Priscilla Marion of Pontotoc; her grandchildren, Antoniesha Stokes of Tupelo, and Shundreka and Lamorian Jones of Pontotoc; her precious great-granddaughter, Charmoni Williams of Pontotoc; her God-daughters, Sonja and Natasha; and her God-grandchildren, Mia, Geniya, DeShara, and Trae.
Louise also leaves to cherish her memories to two sisters, Bernice Taylor of Baton Rouge, La. and Daisy Thomas of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, William (Bill) Taylor of Springfield, Iowa; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives and friends. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Marion, Sr; her son Robert (Tojo) E. Marion, Jr; her parents, John T. Taylor and Velma Harper Taylor; five brothers; four sisters; and her God-daughter, Destiny Moore.
Edna Jo Taylor Sullivan
WATER VALLEY – Edna Jo Taylor Sullivan , 64, of Water Valley passed away peacefully on Friday morning, November 4, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford following a brief illness.
Services honoring the life of Edna Jo were held on Tuesday, November. 8, in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care. Burial was in the Water Valley Cemetery.
Born July 24, 1958 in Pontotoc, Edna Jo was the daughter of the late Troy Hugh and Minnie Snider Taylor. She received her education in the South Pontotoc Public School System and was employed in the landscaping industry for 35 years before retiring.
A Christian, she will be remembered by her family as a loving mom who loved every opportunity to be with her much adored grandchildren and great grandchildren. Tending to her beautiful flowers, playing rummy, visits with family and friends, fishing and having quality time for her nails were favorite pastimes she enjoyed. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memories will continue to be shared by a very special friend, Bobby Camp of Water Valley; one daughter, Pamela Fitzpatrick (Curtis) of Verona; two sons, Jesse Sullivan (Jennifer) and James Sullivan (Mandy), both of Myrtle; three bonus sons, Tony Hervey, Brad Camp and Chase Camp; one sister, Bobbie Weldon of Randolph; 12grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Edna Jo was preceded in death by two sisters, Lora Dillard and Margret Helen Taylor; and two brothers-in-law, Joe Weldon and Jimmy Dillard.
