Sixty-Nine Grads Will Earn Diplomas

WATER VALLEY – Sixty-nine Water Valley High School seniors are candidates for diplomas in Thursday night’s graduation ceremony. The commencement will begin at 7 p.m. at Bobby Clark Field.
Water Valley High School Principal Drew Pitcock reported the class is one of the most well-mannered and respectful groups to graduate during his time at the school. The class is also academically strong with 25 honor students, or 38 percent of the graduates.
Class Historian Peyton Ferguson will share the class history during the commencement. Bri Parrish will deliver the salutatory address, followed by recognition of the honor students by STAR Teacher Jennifer Carwile. Honor students are Maddie Adams, Chloe Clement, Cloey Dempsey, Peyton Ferguson, Saveon Freeman, Brady Hill, Ethan Hyde, Carlee Jackson, Kristasia Laster, Maris Lindsey, Olivia Mcneal, Christian Melton, Anika Olson, Bri Parrish, Andrew Paysinger, Addison Sossaman, Madalyn Stevens, Cora Story, Walker Tedford, Gabrielle Terrell, Bryce Terry, Maggie Ward, Noah Ware, Allyson Wilbourn and Jasmine Wilson. Students must have a cumulative average of 90 or higher for honor student distinction.
Chloe Clement will deliver the valedictory address. Water Valley High School Principal Drew Pitcock and Water Valley School Board President Jill Clark will present the diplomas.
