WATER VALLEY – Family members, friends and clients celebrated Farm Bureau agent Donald Gray’s retirement after a 40-year career during a reception Thursday afternoon.
“Don has been solid as anybody has ever been in this business,” Agency Manager Bradley Brown shared as he presented Gray a certification of appreciation. “We are going to miss him and appreciate what he has done. He has done the right job.”
Gray cited loyal clients for his success.
“An agent without clients is not an agent. All I could ever do in 40 years is sell my service and I appreciate every one of you,” he told the crowd. “I have enjoyed this 40 years and it sure did go fast.”
Gray’s last day on the job was a day after the reception, June 30.
“We will save the tears for tomorrow,” he told the crowd.
