WATER VALLEY – Christmas holds a special place in our hearts, and to enhance the joy of the season, the Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to join us for Christmas in the Valley. This festive event will be held on Friday, December 8 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Enjoy an enchanting evening of after-hours shopping and more in the Valley. You can embark on a whimsical journey with charming carriage rides, adding a touch of nostalgia and elegance to the evening.
The Water Valley Main Street Association can help satisfy your sweet tooth with their Cookie Stroll. While shopping and picking up these scrumptious treats, indulge in a leisurely walk and enjoy our beautifully decorated town. Delight your taste buds with an array of mouthwatering food options from local restaurants, and from food vendors who will be located in Railroad Park near Wood Street and also near the magnolia trees close to Blackmur Drive.
Frosty and the Chamber Elf are set to join friends on Main Street, while the Junior Auxiliary of Water Valley invites you to capture memorable moments with Santa and Mrs. Santa at the Magnolia Coffee Company. The only definite forecast? Snow will fall at 8 p.m. in front of the BTC Old Fashioned Grocery!
Another upcoming event is the Chamber’s Home Tour, which is set for Saturday, December 9. The tour is available for enjoyment from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets, priced at $10 each, can be acquired at GG’s Flowers & Gifts. This enchanting occasion assures a charming experience as you enjoy the festively decorated homes of five gracious families who have warmly welcomed visitors enjoy the spirit of the season.
Each home will display distinct and captivating holiday decorations. Whether embracing traditional Christmas motifs or exploring contemporary interpretations, there’s inspiration for everyone to gather ideas for their own festive decor.
The tour features visits to the homes of various individuals, including Matt and Megan Patton at 114 Panola Street, Joe and Kathryn York at 315 Panola Street, Lloyd and Caroline Caulfield at 107 Leland Street, Will Cook and Coulter Fussell at 207 Wood Street, and Cliff and Leigh Johnson at 1275 Highway 7. Keep an eye out for the well-dressed rooster near the mailbox at the Johnsons’ place—it’s the unmistakable landmark!
The Christmas Tour of Homes offers a family-friendly experience, ideal for making cherished memories with your loved ones. Kids of every age will be enchanted by the delightful decorations and the festive warmth of Christmas.
