Donald Gray cut his final ribbon on Dec. 19 at Cramer’s Body Care as owners Randall Cramer and Angel Cramer help hold the ribbon. The business is located at 100 Railroad Street and products include homemade soap, whipped sugar body scrubs, lip butters, bath bombs, milk and salt baths and more.
Randall Cramer and Angel Cramer opened Cramer’s Body Care after a two-year quest to develop a soap product that is not readily available in stores. Their business is located at 100 Railroad Street (blue building behind the car wash on Main Street) and also offers homemade whipped sugar body scrubs, lip butters, bath bombs, milk and salt baths and more. The business is currently open Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The couple explained that they love to make soap – goat milk soap, coconut soap and just plain ole soap. They start with the finest butters and oils and add lye, some fragrance or essential oil and color to turn their creation into a unique bar of soap. They use unrefined hemp seed oil in most of their soap recipes and after discovering that it adds to the silkiness of the bar.
All soaps are homemade in their small kitchen, producing the simplest, yet finest bars of soap.
Randall and Angel started experimenting with making soap in their kitchen almost two years ago in a quest for purer soap.
“Knowing every ingredient in our soap and the properties each ingredient add is so gratifying,” Angel Cramer shared.
Randall Cramer moved to Water Valley in 2021 and reports it was one of the best decisions he ever made.
“My wife, Angel, has been here for 30 years. She told me I would never want to leave, and she was right,” Randall reported. “Water Valley is truly a hidden gem, and I found my forever home and feel so blessed to be here. As a 20-year Navy veteran, I have seen places all around the world but none compare to Water Valley.”
