Congratulations to James Lee Sturdivant, who made the first grade headmaster’s list at Carroll Academy. Bless his sweet heart, he has been sick all week with flu B and a ear infection.

Julia Kerr has shingles and tested positive for Covid. “Happy new year to me,” says Julia!

I hope you are feeling a lot better by now.

Ginger Harrison says they are froze up but not before her son, Jake, made it back to Delta State in Cleveland. Northwest is closed due to weather, so for right now her other son, Josh, is home. I know you will be cooking that boy up something good to eat!

My granddaughter, Miranda Procella visited one day last week and brought me a blood pressure monitor. Thank you sweet girl.
Not much going on at the McCool’s house up the road. Debbie said they decided to get up early Sunday morning and go to Batesville for breakfast like we used to do.

Then of course they hit Walmart for dog supplies before the weather got bad.
Martha Box said she just drove past my house making sure me and all my neighbors are bundled up and inside because it had started sleeting. She was delivering chicken soup and chocolate cake to her brother, Jesse.

She also enjoyed getting out and seeing several good friends Saturday eve, adding that is all she has done other than “piddling” and resting up.

“Prayers for all through these cold messy days. Jesus loves us and we soooo love HIM!” Martha added.

Yes, we do Martha!

Darlene Moorman just got a stomach virus and her son, Keith, had a sinus infection and a bad cold. They both went to the Charleston clinic and saw Lacy Perry, the nurse practitioner who is running the clinic. Darlene said she was so sick at her stomach, she couldn’t even get water to stay down. The nurse practitioner gave her some medicine and is worked, but she and Keith were both in bed for about a week. Keith’s blood pressure was high and so was Darlene’s. They are both on the good road now.

Happy birthday to Marnie Box, Jeri Lynn Prigmore and Cindy Traywick Banton on the 17th; Linda Darby and Danny Jackson celebrate on the 18th; Bobby Cook and Winky Chambers on the 20th; J.A. Hoop celebrates the 21st; and Angela Robinson and Nathan Hartley on the 22nd.

I pray you all have a wonderful day celebrating your special day.

Our visitors Sunday was Frankie and Bradley Holliday and Donna Garripoli of Grenada.

Thought for the day… Count your blessings every day. Name them one by one.
