WATER VALLEY – Former Blue Devil head football coach Brad Embry has been selected by the Northeast Mississippi Football Coaches Association (NEMFCA) for induction into its 2024 Hall of Fame Class.

Former Blue Devil head football coach Brad Embry was selected by the Northeast Mississippi Football Coaches Association for induction in the 2024 Hall of Fame Class. He is pictured holding the trophy after the Blue Devils won the Class 3A state title in 2018.
Embry retired from coaching last year after serving as the Blue Devil head football coach for 15 seasons. His 117-68 record was the most wins by a football coach at Water Valley High School since the program started in 1913.
Embry is the only coach to win 100 or more games at Water Valley High School and to win 10 or more games for three consecutive seasons. Embry’s 2018 team won the Class 3A state title with a 14-2 record, a season that also earned him recognition from the Mississippi Association of Coaches (M.A.C.) as the Coach of the Year for all classifications.
Embry started his coaching career at Madison High School after graduating from Delta State University. He coached at Madison during the program’s heyday and earned a state championship ring. He also coached eight years at Tupelo High School before coming to Water Valley to take his first head-coaching job.
Embry will be honored with the other inductees during the Annual Northeast Mississippi Football Coach’s All-Star game scheduled Wednesday, May 15, at halftime at Corinth High School.
