While sitting on the porch enjoying the beautiful Sunday afternoon I saw my neighbor, JR Dukes, pull in his drive with that big pretty boat. I knew he was coming in from a good weekend of fishing.

Shelia Jackson said she hasn’t been going anywhere but to the doctor. I can relate to that, David and I keep the road hot going to the doctors in Oxford every week. This week we will have to make three trips. If I was a rich woman, I’d buy a condo over there!

Martha Box says she is still putting one foot in front of the other. She said there was no real exciting news this week. She did land for lunch at the Corner Store in between chores and runs and reported a good visit with good people.

“And the cooks, well I put them in for a raise, didn’t I BOSS?” Martha added. “Sis Joyce and I must stop hanging out with those catfish and shut up dogs. Britches getting a bit snug, Lol.”

Keep Bobby Joe McClanahan in your prayers. It is hard on a hardworking man to be tied down. He tolerates me doing his foot dressing etc., Martha added.

Martha reported that it was a great meeting at Tillatoba Baptist Church Sunday. Bro. Harris spoke a great message, encouraging all to receive and share the SAVIOUR always. Martha said it is good to share the service with so many neighbors and friends. Then she walked down the steps with a time her friend since she was 14, Diane Dukes.

“Neither one of us could spring down steps like we used to, but hey, together we got there,” said Martha.

Phil and Ginger Box enjoyed having sons Jake and Josh home this weekend. They are looking forward to having them home for spring break next week. Jake sang at church and did a really good job on his version of Alan Jackson’s “Washed in the Blood/I’ll fly Away” mix. Josh Harrison and Braden Sprayberry will be performing an acoustic set at 333 in Grenada Friday night, the 8th. Hopefully it won’t be cancelled due to rain.

William Lewis Cook has been transferred to the Charleston Hospital Rehab from North Mississippi Medical Center in Oxford after falling a couple weeks ago. He had two or three broken ribs and a lung that had partly collapsed. Please add William to your prayer list.
