WATER VALLEY – Mayor Tommy Reynolds wielded the ceremonial scissors for a pair of ribbon cuttings on March 5, marking his first since taking office last month.
The first ribbon cutting was at G’s Extreme Performance Training. Owner Alarick Gable, Jr. opened the personal training studio and focuses on speed and agility training for athletes. His client base also includes old and young who are focused on fitness.
Gable interned at the University of Mississippi under multiple strength coaches including Wilson Love, who now works as the head strength and conditioning coach for the Oregon football program; Kelvin Florence, who now works as a strength and conditioning coach at the University of Georgia; and Jarwarski Beckum, assistant strength and conditioning coach and director of speed at Mississippi State University.
Gable next worked at a training center in Oxford before going out on his own and opening a storefront in Water Valley. He is typically open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and late evenings. He is also available by appointment, call (662) 816-2922. You can also learning more about his business at gsxtremeperformancetraining.com. The business is located at 1004 Central Street, Unit F.
