On Monday evening, Magnolia Eye Group played host to the Chamber Power Hour, drawing an enthusiastic crowd to the event. Angie Hodge, President-Elect of the Chamber, greeted the assembled guests as they gathered for the fourth edition of this engaging event.
“We’re truly thrilled by the turnout tonight,” she said. “It’s wonderful to see both familiar faces and newcomers to our event. These gathering offer our business people the opportunity to share knowledge and strengthen community ties. For anyone who is interested in hosting a future Chamber Power Hour, please feel free to get in touch with the chamber office for further information.”
“This is the first event we’ve had officially as Magnolia Eye Group,” said Dr. Tayler Edwards. “Even though the name has changed everything else is still the same.”
The name may have changed but this is still very much a family business. In 1990 Dr. Steve Edwards took the reins from Dr. Rayford Edgar and Tri-Lake Eye Clinic was opened. Expansion at Holly Springs Eye Care followed. With Dr. Hunter Edwards and Dr. Taylor Edwards, graduating from Southern College of Optometry, a change of name seemed to make sense. “Hunter and I are out of school and need to spread out a little at three locations so we made the names match so you know you are going to get the same quality of care at any location,” Dr. Taylor Edwards highlighted the changes to Chamber Power Hour attendees. “We’ve very excited for this event. We hope everyone has a great night. It’s a great turnout and we appreciate your support.”

Baine Turnage was one of the lucky door prize winners during the Chamber’s Power Hour Monday evening.
Attendees enjoyed a tasty spread of culinary delights, indulging in a variety of flavors and dishes. The presence of great food it and lively conversations fostered a sense of camaraderie among attendees, enriching the event’s atmosphere and making the experience even more enjoyable.
Door prizes, ranging from stylish t-shirts and mugs to practical tote bags, added an extra layer of excitement to the event. The lucky winners of the guessing games were Clint Faust who walked away with a complete glasses package, featuring a sleek Gucci frame, and Brad Willingham who scored a stylish pair of Krewe Sunglasses, adding a touch of flair to their eyewear collections.
As the evening drew to a close, the success of the Chamber Power Hour was evident in the lively atmosphere and engaged conversations that filled the rooms. With a commitment to community and excellence in eye care, the transition to Magnolia Eye Group signifies a continuation of the legacy of quality. As attendees departed with smiles on their faces and prizes in hand, the sense of unity and support among local businesses and community members was palpable, reaffirming the importance of events like these in fostering connections and growth within our vibrant community.
