Love and sympathy to the Cathron Camp family. Cathron, a former associate minister at Oakland Methodist Church passed away March 25.
Love and sympathy to the Nancy Bratton family of Pea Ridge. Nancy passed away March 27 at her home. She was 83 years old and was married for 63 years to Jimmy Ray Bratton, Sr. They had four children, two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Love and sympathy to the William Baucum Chambers family of Tillatoba. Balcom passed away Good Friday, March 29, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi in Oxford.
Freda and Frank Weir visited with us Saturday afternoon. It was Frank’s birthday and I sent them home with a sack of sweet tators.
Timothy Sullivan, Scotty and Stephanie Chambers and Josh Littlejohn enjoyed a evening of fun Saturday, at an Easter egg hunt at Grenada Lake. This was a Chambers family event and Tim was glad that he got to visit with Betty Sue Chambers Garrison.
On Easter Sunday daughter Donna Garripoli and granddaughter Miranda Procella and Summer Procella brought up a wonderful Easter dinner. Before leaving, they tidied up my kitchen. We had a wonderful day. I’m still down in my back and when we went to Grenada early Monday morning, doctors’ offices were closed and clinics were full. I had to come back home hurting.
Martha Box says the more she tries to do the less she gets done. She added that she needs to work harder on her brand new attitude!
“I’m thinking it may be time to let everyone else do my work while I sip my tea!” she explained.
Sounds like a plan to me, Martha!
Martha had a lovely eve with granddaughter, Marnie, enjoying great singing and picking listening to music by “In Debt.” She also heard a wonderful Easter message at Pine Grove Sunday.
“Bro. Scarborough shared it with such spirit! And the music, wow. Because He Lives, I can face tomorrow!” she said.
Next the family landed at Martha’s place for a great meal and visit. All of her family cooked something delicious and she reported it is wonderful to have everyone together and happy!
I got a phone call from my cousin, Phillip Tillman, Saturday. It’s always good to hear from him and to see what he’s up too. He had been watching a ball game but sleep overtook him and he didn’t know who won! Phillip, you are too young to fall asleep during an exciting ball game.
Freddie and Jojo McClanahan visited Bobby Joe McClanahan Sunday at hospital in Jackson.
On Saturday, Deborah McCool worked in the yard all day and when Tommy came in from work, he mowed. Sunday after church they went to Batesville for some shopping and eating out. They cleaned out their sheds when they good home.
Good thing daughter, Kimberly and Jason showed up to help or we would have never finished,” Deborah said.
“Afterwards we all sat on the porch and visited, the girls showed up just as we were finished, ha, ha, they had good timing,” Deborah added.
Please pray for Eddie Fly of Coffeeville. Last report I heard, he was to have surgery on his arm. Eddie’s injuries is showing improvement, he still has a long recovery with more surgeries ahead.
Please keep the Chambers family and Jarrell family in your prayers.

A large crowd attended the Holy Week Services at Tillatoba Baptist Church Friday night.
