Bible School is winding down at Tillatoba Baptist Church. There was a good turn out and they enjoyed the crafts and learning more about Jesus.
Congratulations to Kelli and Jacob Young. They have moved into their new home. I know they are excited as well as Elena and Jude.
Tommy and Deborah McCool went to Batesville Sunday and ate lunch after church. Then they went to Senatobia for a visit with son, Christopher McCool, and family. With Tommy finally having a Sunday off, they really enjoyed the day.
Sheryn Goode said her grandson, Fischer Huffman, went recently to have his senior pictures taken. Seems like only yesterday he started kindergarten. Her daughter, Linda, and son-in-law, David Shelton, came for a visit. They went out for lunch and just visited the rest of the time.
Those from Tillatoba enjoying the AEW Collision at the Landers Center in Southaven Saturday night were Waylon and Holly Dukes and daughter, Haven Rose; Junior Dukes; and Kat Benson from Southaven.
Joey and Katelyn McClanahan and friend, JK, of Jackson visited his dad, Bobby Joe McClanahan and family. Daughter Kirsti Daves also visited recently.
Martha Box says she is getting up every morning thanking our LORD that she can! She cooked a good meal on Thursday for the Fourth. Took some food to her daughter, Ginger and family, and some to Sheryn Goode. She did not try it till lunch Monday and reported it was a great meal.
Martha stayed in the house most of the week, explaining it was too hot outside!
“And besides, I have worn out that Daddgumm BeKini!” she joked.
She did get out for lunch with sister, Joyce, last Friday. They sure loove that fish at the Catfish Hut!
Bobby McClanahan had Martha over for fish supper Saturday eve and she reported it was scrumptious. She said it was great to see him up and at it, recuperating so well!
“So enjoyed the visit with them all,” Martha said.
Her final outing to report was a great visit with several work partners from her days at Grenada Lake Medical Center. Martha said their time is always fun with lots of reminiscing. There were hugs and kisses all around, except she had to blow a kiss to Raymond Libertto.
“Last time I smooched that boy, it sent him into shock – allergic to me. We are now tossing our hello-love-yous across the room,” she said.
Your writer says, “calm down, Martha!”
Jordanna Twilley of Nashville visited her grandmother, Zell Manzo, and her aunt, Shannon Manzo, this past weekend.
Saturday morning Waylon, Holly and Haven Rose visited and little Haven Rose filled my little refrigerator with Ensure. She was so proud of herself and I was too! She and I were going to put a sweet potato in water so they would make a vine that she could watch grow, but the hospital called Holly in to work and they had to leave. I know our baby girl would have loved that!
Other visitors Saturday morning was my grandson, Junior Dukes, and Jason Beavers.
