Visiting us Monday afternoon for a short visit were my sweet sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Tommy Hudson, and Barry Baker of Grenada. Tommy was released from the therapy program at Tallahatchie General Hospital and they were on their way home. Tommy highly recommends Tallahatchie General if you need a place for therapy.
No exciting news reports Martha Box except for some reason she am still here.
“Still blessed and loved by Jesus!” Martha shared.
She was thankful for Kenny, who takes care of her yard. All he accepts for pay are Martha’s homemade banana cakes.
On Monday Martha checked on Bobby McClanahan. She said he was outside enjoying the day and visits. He put in his request for his favorite pineapple cake.
“Of course, he asked for the recipe, you know I will give it to him with a cake!,” Martha added.
Wednesday she had lunch at the Corner and enjoyed getting to see Candy Box. She picked up a chicken liver meal for Sharon Goode and had a good visit with her.
Martha asks for prayers for Bill Robinson, and Jesse and Jodi Wortham.
The service at Tillatoba Baptist Church Sunday was wonderful. Martha said there were two spirit-filled baptisms of two youths. Bro. Harris followed with a great message on baptism! It is so great to see and feel the love and joy there, says Martha!
Sheryn Goode had two doctor appointments in Oxford last week and they changed some of her medicines. Maybe that will help you to feel better soon, Sheryn. I hope so.
Deborah McCool said Tommy finally got a weekend off and they spent all day Saturday at her dad’s house cleaning around th yard. They also mowed his yard and her sister’s yard. They came in from church to find their wonderful son-in–law, Jason Beavers, trimming weeds in their yard. They spent Sunday afternoon being lazy, they rode the four-wheeler a little around town and sat on porch.
If you rode the four wheeler around town that took every bit of two minutes, Deborah! Hahaha
David and I visited daughter, Donna. Then we went up the street and visited sister, Ann Hudson and Tommy, one day last week.
Our visitors Sunday were daughter, Donna; granddaughter, Francesca Holliday; great grandson, Bradley Holliday and Bobby Ray Jackson.
Donna and Bradley played croquet, my favorite yard game.
Bill Robinson had a heart cath recently and was transported to St. Frances Hospital for treatment after having a widowmaker and hopefully to get a pacemaker. Bill will be home soon for six to eight weeks of recovery. Please keep him in your prayers.
Happy birthday to Barry Hoop on the 15th; Sherry Anderson and Will Tillman share a birthday on the 16th; Charla Chambers Campbell celebrates the 17th; Marilyn G. Lawson celebrates the 18th; and Rose Ann Rose and Rowland Hartley celebrate the 20th. May you all have a blessed day.
Thought for the day…..if you can not do great things, do small things in a great way.
