Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce Manager Zandra Walker is busy preparing buckets that will be placed at each business for door prize drawings during Saturday’s Business Holiday Open House.
WATER VALLEY – Come celebrate the season with Water Valley’s Business Holiday Open House, hosted by the Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, November 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.! Enjoy a festive day of shopping and supporting local businesses while exploring the final Water Valley Farmers Market of the season under the magnificent Magnolia trees in Railroad Park.
Special guests, the Chamber Elf and Frosty, will be spreading holiday cheer around town, popping into shops and posing for photos with visitors. Shoppers can register at any of the 25 participating local businesses (check this week’s ad for a full list) to win fabulous door prizes, adding even more excitement to the day. Plus, one lucky shopper will take home the grand prize – a $500 gift certificate from the Chamber of Commerce, perfect for checking off that holiday shopping list at any Chamber-member business.
Don’t forget to join in the Rotary Club of Water Valley’s 9th Annual Chili Cookoff at the Pocket Park, (will be moved to the BankFirst Community Room if raining). A beloved event during Holiday Open House, judging kicks off at 10:30. Entry is $10 for contestants. All proceeds support Rotary Club projects that benefit our community, and winners will be announced at 2 p.m. on the bandstand – no need to be present to win!
