Monday, November 11 was Veterans Day. I’d like to wish all veterans a wonderful day and a blessed year!!

Deborah McCool said she and Tommy were able to get out Saturday afternoon after Tommy came home from work. They picked up Alice Kellum, Tommy’s sister, and went to Leland to visit their other two sisters. Sunday afternoon they went down to the residence of her late parents (Ray and Opal Bell) to do work around the house. Seems like this young couple works all the time.

The doctor made the decision Sunday morning to move Nancy Chambers to the intensive care unit. She is at the Oxford Hospital prayers and prayers for her are appreciated.

The more I try to do the less I achieve these days, reports Martha Box.

“But I am still Happy, Healthy, Wealthy and Wise because HE LIVES! HE sees me through,” Martha shared.

Martha said she has really enjoyed the fall colors and she rode about town watching the leaves fall! Martha had a good lunch with Candy at the Corner Store.

“They sure cook good. Sister Joyce and I enjoyed our lunch at the Catfish Hut Sunday. Talk about good fried catfish and hushpuppies,” Martha added.

Martha’s baby girl, Ginger Harrison, is doing physical therapy on her knee, and has pain and distress, possibly caused by the work out.

Martha’s Cowgirl Texas sis, Patty, lost her daughter, Kim. Jesus, love and comfort we pray!

Martha asks for prayers for Sister Sherry Darby, the wife of Pastor Tommy Darby. Even though she is in the hospital, Sherry was still in the service Sunday.

Your writer’s daughter, Donna, spent a few days in Covington, Ga. with her daughter, Miranda Procella, and Summer. They had a great time shopping in some quaint little places. To rub it in, they sent pictures of them shopping!

Sweet little cousins Haven Rose Dukes and Jo Pullen looked so sweet all dressed for the Veteran’s Day program at school Monday morning.

Happy birthday to Mary Ann Odom on the 10th; to Mali Jarrell on the 13th; Marie Rowland and Samantha Irwin Dees celebrate on the 14th; Charlie Brook Bowman on the 15th; and my sweet brother-in-law, Tommy Hudson and Diane Horne on the 17th. May you all have a blessed day.

If you have news or you want your birthday acknowledge please send me a message or text before 11 a.m. on Monday.

Thought for the day….When life shuts a door, open it again. That’s how a door works.
