Blue Devils Assigned New Region 2-2A Members

CLINTON – On Tuesday, November 19, the Mississippi High School Activities Association, or MHSAA, finalized the new Regions for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 School Years. The new regions will be played in football, volleyball, girls and boys basketball, fast-pitch softball, and baseball. The previous two academic years, Region 2-2A has been Water Valley, Bruce, Calhoun City, M.S. Palmer, and Ingomar, which is a non-football-playing school.

For the next two years, Water Valley and Bruce remain, but welcome the East Union Urchins, the Myrtle Hawks, and Strayhorn Mustangs. Both Myrtle and East Union are making the jump from Class 1A, while East Union is simply moving from Region 1-2A to Region 2-2A. Schools have until Tuesday, November 26 to appeal their region and classification.
