Gerald Wayne Christman
WATER VALLEY – Gerald Wayne Christman left this world on April 28, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on March 21, 1948, in Oxford, he lived a life full of love, dedication, and passion.
Gerald served in the United States Navy after graduating from the first class of Lafayette High School in 1966. He enjoyed a fulfilling career of over 30 years as a Warehouse Manager at North East Mississippi Electric Power Association, where his commitment and work ethic were admired by all.
His love for life was evident in his many interests. Gerald was a talented mechanic who spent countless hours restoring classic cars and trucks, relishing the joy of bringing the past back to life. An avid walker and sportsman, he found peace in nature and cherished his time spent hunting. He would often watch basketball and football, and was particularly fond of “How It’s Made.” Gerald’s passions, however, always took a backseat to his greatest love – his family.
The funeral service to celebrate Gerald’s life was held on May 1 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. He was laid to rest at Delay Baptist Church Cemetery in Oxford.
Gerald is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Belinda Christman; his beloved children, Jerri (Stacy) Harmon and Joseph (Leah) Christman; his cherished siblings, Susan Norin and Kenny Christman; and grandchildren, Dylan Christman, Colin Christman, Sarah Harmon, and Emma Harmon, Gerald is preceded in death by George Ellis and Fannie Mae Johnson Christman.
Billy Mack Ingram
CALHOUN CITY – Billy Mack Ingram, 44, of Calhoun City passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Calhoun City. A Coffeeville native, Billy Mack was born July 6, 1980.
Billy Mack spent most of his working life as a truck driver. He possessed a unique ability to put together or fix anything that needed to be repaired. An avid fisherman, Billy Mack enjoyed anything he could find to do outdoors. He was a member of Elam Baptist Church near Coffeeville.
Memorial service plans are private. Arrangements were entrusted to McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service.
Survivors include his son, William Reed Ingram of Coffeeville; a brother, Michael (Kristy) Ingram of Coffeeville; and his nephews and a niece.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Hugh and Greta Zane Sullivan Ingram.
Janice M. Sellers
WATER VALLEY – Janice M. Sellers, a beloved daughter, mother, and friend, left this world on April 28, 2025, at the age of 77. She was born January 28, 1948, in Water Valley.
Before her graduation from high school in Memphis, Janice ran track. Her athletic ability allowed her to excel and she received many awards for her accomplishments. She was also a member of the high school band where she played the flute.
Janice spent her life caring for others as a nursing assistant in the healthcare field. She worked in Milledgeville, Ga., prior to her return to Water Valley in 1982. Her compassion and dedication touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met. Although quiet, Janice was very strong-willed. Her hobbies included completing jigsaw puzzles, reading Stephen King books, raising a vegetable garden and cooking turtle soup.
Janice is survived by her two daughters, Suzanne Lawler and Catherine Lott. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ella Mathis.
A graveside service was held April 30, 2025, at Walker Cemetery as family and friends gathered to celebrate her life and the love she shared. Seven Oaks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
