Sadie and Milton Harper had tree limbs down in their drive from Sunday’s storm. She had to help her daughter, Shelia O’ Bryant, move them so Sheila could go to work early Monday morning.
Congratulations Freda Melton Weir upon your retirement of teaching all those young children for 38 years. Now you can walk around your yard and enjoy all your flowers that are in bloom. That is after Frank cooks you a nice big healthy breakfast.
Congratulations to Carrol Academy second grader James Lee Sturdivant of Tillatoba. His MACD poster won first place for second and third grades out of all 22 northern Mississippi counties! His poster will go on to represent the north area in the state competition.

Martha is working hard to get her foot healed after the surgery and said physical therapy is going well. Martha enjoyed a great visit at Cossar Park with Tyler and Annie Wortham’s family Saturday. Joyce and Martha reported it was good food and fellowship until the storm approached.
“The wind had this momma shouting ‘Grab those babies now!’” Martha explained. “But the moms and grands had those babies in the car and gone before I jumped up shouting! It was good to see friends had not seen in awhile.”
Martha also enjoyed the Memorial Day service Sunday delivered by Bro. Tommy Darby as the message and music lifted the attendees. After church she picked up a chicken liver meal and dropped one off to Sheryn Goode .
“Mine was so good I took the rest of this day off. Yes’m I mean napping!,” Martha added.

My next door neighbor, J.R. Dukes caught a 9.5 bass back in March and had it mounted at Walkers Wildlife Art Studio in Magee. It came back a few days ago. Needless to say, it is beautiful from the picture I saw.
