Tina Michelle Evans

COFFEEVILLE – Tina Michele Evans, 62, of Coffeeville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

She was born Oct. 6, 1963, in Water Valley to Lewis Rufus Gray Jr. and Delores Gray.

Tina loved her grandchildren and working in her yard.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Coffeeville Cemetery.

Survivors include Angel Kendall and Alora Arbuckle, both of Coffeeville; one brother, William Gray of Coffeeville; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Michael Gray and Jonathan Gray.

Arrangements were entrusted to McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada.

Warner Claiborne Webb

OXFORD – Warner Claiborne “Clay” Webb, a devoted soldier, loving father and cherished member of the Union West community, passed away peacefully Sept. 1, 2026, at the age of 97.

Born Jan. 20, 1929, in Oxford, he was the son of sharecroppers Dewey and Pauline Webb. He developed a strong work ethic from an early age that remained with him throughout his life.

At the age of 17, Clay enlisted in the U.S. Army, dedicating 27 years to military service at numerous duty stations. He achieved the rank of sergeant major before his honorable discharge Dec. 13, 1974.

Following his military service, Clay became a tactical officer at Lyman Ward Military Academy in Camp Hill, Alabama, before returning home to Oxford in 1982. He continued his working career at the Lafayette County Farmers Co-op and later at the Taylor Cotton Gin.

Clay’s love for God, his family and his community was evident throughout his life. As a deacon at Union West Baptist Church, he devoted countless hours in service to the congregation. He also enjoyed gardening and meticulous yard work, which brought him great satisfaction during his retirement years.

Clay shared a deep and abiding love with his wife, Ella Webb, who preceded him in death. Together, they enjoyed traveling and cheering on their grandchildren at numerous sporting events.

Survivors include two sons, Tony Webb and his wife, Darlene, of Waveland and Richie Webb and his wife, Deb, of Oxford; a sister, Martha Herring; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Pauline Webb; his wife, Ella; and seven siblings, Paul Webb, Wardean Webb, Gene Webb, James Webb, Lena Nicholas, Sarah Stringer and Faye Gillespie.

The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, Sept. 4, at 5 p.m. in the Gardiner Room of Seven Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 5, at 11 a.m. at Union West Baptist Church with the Rev. Derek Starnes officiating.
