Suicide Prevention Group Schedules Fundraiser At Hometown Pizza

The American Foundation of Suicide Prevention is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.  In the state of Mississippi, suicide is the 12th leading cause of death.

The AFSP Mississippi offers free programs to schools, SAD (More than SAD), Universities (Talk to Save Lives).  AFSP board members are part of ASIST, which involves being a caregiver for people that are thinking about leaving this world!

The group also has a firearms and suicide prevention program, offering free gun cable locks.  To learn more, visit AFSP.org to see other programs and ways to donate.

The board members have scheduled a fund raising event, “Singing to Keep Us Alive” at the Hometown Pizza Café on April15, starting at 11 a.m.

Anyone who wants to sing can pay a 1$ (or more if they want to!!) to sing a song to help raise funds for this worthy cause. Every-one is invited to participate in this fundraiser.
