Lee House Presents Heritage Art
The painting above shows the railroad and watermelon heritage of the Valley and is among art that will be on display at the Lee House at 114 McLarty Circle. The painting is from the collection of the late Frances Marie McDonald Sartain’s work.
One of the stops on the Art Crawl this year is very special to our hearts and takes us back to remember many old friends from our past, remembered but not forgotten.
The Lee House at 114 McLarty Circle offers us a rare opportunity to view Heritage Art, paintings on loan from private collections of many of our Water Valley families. You may expect to see art from old friends from the past, current friends, and a few emerging artists.
Included in this exhibit are pieces of art from Don and Lucia Holloway, Francis Sartain, Martha Edwards, Camille Webb, Elfie Jones, Mary Jane Appleton and her great-granddaughter Aelexa Rae Heafner, Nettie Nell Richmond, Sarah McMinn, Ann Jones, Teresa Zampella, Sarah Nell Champion, Linda Trent, Don Latham, Mari Foster and daughter Cinnamon Foster, Dianne Stone, Jack Gurner, Clay Asford, and Austin King. Playing on the back patio will be Boyd and Evans with Civitell.
