Traffic Stops Lead To Multiple Arrests

WATER VALLEY– A vehicle traveling on Hwy. 7 with no taillights Sunday night resulted in a drug arrest after deputies found methamphetamine in the ash tray during a traffic stop.

Sheriff Lance Humphreys reported  Farrel Graham  was charged with possession of methamphetamine, driving with a suspended license and improper equipment after he was stopped near Wise Street in Water Valley. He was initially arrested for the suspended license and the alleged drugs were discovered during a search incident to arrest. Deputies also found two pipes in the console. Graham is an Oxford resident, originally from Greenwood.

In an unrelated incident, Johnny Rivera was also charged for possession of methamphetamine and improper equipment after he was stopped Thursday night at the intersection of Main Street and Front Street in Coffeeville.  Rivera was stopped for a busted tail light and consented to a search of his vehicle. Deputies found a bag of methamphetamine in his wallet and two bags of marijuana in the driver door pocket of his vehicle.
