I hope everyone has had a great week. Things have been good at Mt. Liberty and we’re staying pretty busy. The ladies are getting things together for relief boxes to send to those impacted by Hurricane Helene. It’s devastating what they’re going through.

Last week, due to technical issues, I didn’t get to submit the article. I’m going to try to double up this week on some things. We’re preparing for our second annual All Saints Day on Nov. 2. This will be a community event and we will have lots of fun activities planned for the children.

Leigh Anne Coffey and Bro. Gary Potts had birthdays last week. The week before Annabella Stewart and Pat Watts celebrated birthdays.

I mentioned before about the Gideons coming. I wanted to let everyone know that if you would like to help their ministry, you can visit www.Gideons.org. This is an amazing ministry and does great work for the Kingdom of God.

Bro. Grant Coffey brought us a wonderful message Sunday morning from Matthew 5:12-15. We are here to represent God.

How are we seen by others?

Do we complain about life all the time?

Do we live with one foot in the world and the other in the church?

Jesus gives us three things to do in on the passage. First, we are to rejoice and be extremely glad. We have been given the gift of eternal life. People should see the joy coming from us. They should see it and want to be a part of it. Second, we are the salt of the earth. In Jesus’ time, salt was a priceless commodity. It was used to preserve meat. We are to preserve humanity. Third, we are the light of the world. Our light should shine for others to see. It should not be dimmed. We are to glorify God. These things show others how amazing it is to be Christian. So be aware of yourself. How do you see yourself? Are you a Christian Monday thru Saturday as well as Sunday. You can’t be of God and the world. The Bible said choose this day who you will serve. Be a reflection of God.

I pray you all have an amazing week. Do God’s work. He chose you. Be blessed. Being a Christian is so much more than showing up on Sunday and filling up a pew. If you’re looking for a home church, we invite you to join us. Services start at 11 a.m.
