WATER VALLEY — MaxxSouth Broadband has announced a major infrastructure upgrade that will revolutionize internet connectivity in the Water Valley area. Beginning in January, 2025, the company launched a comprehensive fiber upgrade project aimed at providing residents and businesses with ultra-fast, reliable internet service.
The project, budgeted for over $4.2 million, will deliver the highest-speed fiber internet available, offering symmetrical speeds up to 10 Gbps, to over 2,000 homes.
“This upgrade is a significant investment and represents our commitment to the future of Water Valley and our loyal customers here,” said HeidiJoy Harnegie, Vice President and General Manager at MaxxSouth Broadband. “We believe that our community must have access to the fastest, most reliable internet speeds available to meet the growing demands of modern digital life.”
Construction is slated to begin in January, 2025, and is expected to be completed by this summer. The new fiber network will provide residents and businesses unprecedented internet speed and reliability, enabling seamless streaming, gaming, remote work, and access to cloud-based services.
As each block of homes is completed, MaxxSouth will contact each existing subscriber and set up the upgrade at their convenience.
