The Chamber is buzzing with excitement as two big events approach, bringing together our business community, celebrating achievements, and strengthening local connections. Mark your calendars now for these can’t-miss gatherings.
On March 25, the Chamber Power Hour will be hosted by First National Bank (FNB), offering a perfect setting for folks to meet, exchange ideas, and support local businesses. It’s always a great time to catch up with neighbors, hear about what’s happening in town, and learn a thing or two from the pros at First National Bank. Of course, no gathering is complete without refreshments and plenty of good conversation. Whether you’re an established business owner, just starting out, or just want to drop by and say hello to friends, this is the place to be.
Then, on April 26, the Chamber’s Annual Reception at Fountain Square will bring the community together for an evening of celebration and recognition. One of the highlights of the night will be introducing the new Chamber Board President, along with new officers and board members who will be leading the way for the coming year. The much-anticipated Elliott Scholarship winner will also be announced, giving everyone a chance to cheer on a deserving student as they take the next step in their education.
Another special moment will be the presentation of the Braswell Hatcher Community Service Award, an honor that recognizes someone who has truly made a difference in Water Valley through volunteerism and dedication to our town.
Adding even more excitement to this year’s reception, Mayor Tommy Reynolds will present the State of the City address. This will be a great opportunity to hear firsthand about the progress Water Valley has made over the past year and the exciting plans in store for the future. From economic development initiatives to community projects, infrastructure improvements, and efforts to enhance our quality of life, the Mayor’s address is sure to be one of the evening’s most anticipated moments. It’s a chance to learn more about what’s happening in our town and how we can all work together to keep Water Valley moving forward.
The Chamber Annual Reception is always a special night, but this year’s event promises to be even more memorable. It’s a time to reflect on where we’ve been, celebrate where we are, and look forward to what’s ahead. It’s also a fantastic occasion to enjoy live entertainment, delicious food, catch up with friends, make new connections, and feel a deep sense of pride in our wonderful city.
Both of these events are great opportunities to connect, celebrate, and support Water Valley. If you love this town and want to see it thrive, these are the kinds of gatherings that bring us all together. Networking, learning, and community-building happen in moments like these, and we encourage everyone to take part. Whether you’re a business owner, a community leader, a student, or a longtime resident who cares about Water Valley’s future, your presence matters.
Beyond the formalities of introductions and awards, the Chamber Annual Reception is about friendship and community spirit. It’s an evening to share stories, exchange ideas, and celebrate the achievements that make our town shine. The event will have a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone can feel at home, whether it’s your first time attending or you’re a longtime supporter of the Chamber.
So go ahead and mark your calendars, tell a friend, and make plans to be there. We’ll be sharing more details soon, so be sure to follow the Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce on Facebook and check out the North Mississippi Herald for updates. We can’t wait to see everyone there!
