OAKLAND — The congregation at Pilgrim Rest Church of God in Christ joyfully celebrates the 83rd birthday of their beloved pastor, Elder L.D. O’Bryant, Jr.
Born to the late Elder L.D. O’Bryant Sr. and Dr. Naomi O’Bryant, Elder O’Bryant Jr. has faithfully served the Pilgrim Rest Church of God in Christ and the Yalobusha County community for an estimated six decades.
His remarkable tenure makes him the longest-serving living pastor in Yalobusha County, across both African American and white congregations – truly a historic milestone.
O’Bryant’s ministry has reached far beyond county lines, touching countless lives across the state of Mississippi and neighboring states. Through his unwavering dedication and spiritual leadership, he has led many souls to Christ and built a legacy of faith, love, and service.
Elder O’Bryant shares this journey with his devoted wife, Evangelist Regina O’Bryant, who has stood by his side in ministry and in life.
“We are deeply honored and blessed to call Elder O’Bryant our pastor, mentor, and spiritual father. Happy 83rd Birthday, Elder O’Bryant!” his church family said.
