Young Anglers Invited To Rodeo

The annual fishing rodeo at the Bob Tyler Fish Hatchery is scheduled May 17.

The 2025 Youth Fishing Rodeo at Bob Tyler Fish Hatchery at Enid Lake is scheduled Saturday, May 17. This free event is for children, ages 15 and younger.

Young anglers should bring their own fishing equipment and bait along with a container to take their catch home. Water will be provided and prizes will be awarded.

Operated by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, the Bob Tyler Fish Hatchery, formerly known as the North Mississippi Fish Hatchery, is located west of Enid Lake on 58 acres of land leased from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It is easily accessible to locals and visitors from I-55.
