Walton Earns Scholarship From The Mississippi Association Of Supervisors

The Yalobusha County Board of Supervisors presented a $1,000 Mississippi Association of Supervisors Minority Caucus Scholarship to Ethan Walton during Monday’s meeting. Walton is a 2025 graduate of Water Valley High School and will attend the University of Mississippi. He is pictured with (from left) District 5 Supervisor Gaylon Gray, District 1 Supervisor Cayce Washington, District 2 Supervisor Ken Rogers, (Walton), District 4 Supervisor Eddie Harris, Jenniffer Walton, District 3 Supervisor Kenny Harmon, Tax Assessor/Collector Michael Walton, Loyd Walton, Teresa Walton and Jillian Walton.

Among requirements to compete for the scholarship was to write an essay. The essay topic was “Elections Have Consequences.”
