Mt. Liberty News
By Melissa Brooks
Another busy week has passed us by, and we had such a wonderful time at our Fall Festival! We had a great turnout, and everyone laughed and played the games. We enjoyed chili and desserts and truly appreciate everyone who came out to join us—and those who worked hard to get everything ready. In just a few weeks, we’ll have our Thanksgiving celebration. The time we spend together in fellowship is the best time, I think. My church family is so important to me—they’re the people I call, the ones I know will always be there.
Bro. Grant Coffey brought an amazing message Sunday, one that’s so important to hear. We started in John 14:1–3. Are you ready for what’s next? Jesus tells us He’s coming again (v. 3). He’s coming back to get His church. In Matthew 24:36–44, He says no one knows when He’s coming back. There will be no warning—no emergency broadcast. If you’re not ready, you’d better get ready.
Are you prepared to meet God? Are you saved? Are you living faithfully and in obedience? Do you feel confident with where you are spiritually? We need to stay ready—prepared for the Lord’s return. It could be many years from now, or it could be in the next 10 minutes.
This is one of my favorite topics in biblical discussion. Sunday night we met to go over the sermon again, and it was wonderful to hear what everyone had to say. We need to keep a short account with God, because we never know when that day will come. We need to forgive and ask for forgiveness. Eternity is the most important decision we will ever make.
If you’re looking for a home church, we invite you to join us. Services begin at 11 a.m.
