Remembering And Thanking Those Who Served

To the Editor:

We want to let our veterans know, on this Veterans Day and every day, that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We offer our heartfelt appreciation for your service to our country. We know that, as a nation and as families, we would not enjoy the peace, safety, religious freedom and blessings we have today without you. Your dedication and commitment to the ideals of our democracy are an inspiration, and your life has immeasurably blessed many others.

We also recognize the sacrifices made by your families while you were serving our country. We honor and appreciate them as well.

It is our prayer that your heart will be cheered and blessed this Veterans Day. We wish that we could visit each of you personally and thank you for your service. While that isn’t possible, the One who loves us most is always with you. We are comforted by His promise in Deuteronomy 31:8: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Be encouraged today. Our hearts are with you on this special day. Remember that you are a blessing to your country and are loved by God and by many others.
God bless you, and God bless America.

Sincerely,
Mary Sue and Roy Bennett Stevens
Water Valley
