WATER VALLEY – TVIfiber is proud to announce the official launch of SmartTown™, a secure extended Wi-Fi service now live and available to current and future TVIfiber subscribers in Water Valley. This innovative service allows subscribers to enjoy a seamless, authenticated internet connection not only at home, but throughout the community — whether working downtown, visiting local businesses or staying connected at the ballfields. It is a secure connection that moves with you.
Water Valley is the first community in TVIfiber’s service area to receive SmartTown, marking a major milestone in the company’s mission to bring advanced technology solutions to rural Mississippi. SmartTown is delivered through TVIfiber’s network through a partnership with Calix, a leading technology company supporting smart community innovation.

Next Phase: SmartTown For First Responders
The next phase of the SmartTown rollout will focus on first responders in Water Valley, including fire departments, EMS personnel, law enforcement and emergency operations teams.
This service will provide dependable, secure wireless for critical services, allowing first responders to access essential data, respond faster, coordinate field operations and improve safety for the community.
“Reliable communication saves lives,” Robison said. “The SmartTown First Responder network will allow emergency personnel to pull and send information directly from the field, coordinate more effectively, enable Wi-Fi calling and reduce response times. Partnership With Calix
Calix is a national leader in broadband technology, enabling service providers like TVIfiber to deploy smart community solutions. Together, TVIfiber and Calix have built a secure, scalable SmartTown network that will continue to expand across TVIfiber’s service footprint.
