 Maggie Joanna Dorris

  Mr. and Mrs. Alex Dorris of Water Valley are pleased to announce the birth of their first child, a beautiful daughter named Maggie Joanna Dorris. Maggie was born Saturday, August 18, 2007, at 1:26 p.m. at Oxford in the Special Delivery Services at Baptist Memorial Hospital—North Mississippi. She weighed six pounds, fifteen ounces and was nineteen and one-half inches long.

  Sharing honors as grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Magee of Pope and Mr. and Mrs. Buster Dorris of Oxford. Great-grandparents are Anna Lou Magee and the late Grady Magee of Pope, the late Mr. and Mrs. Murray Lipe of Courtland, the late Mrs. Jewel Henderson of Yocona, and Mable Dorris and the late Gonnie Dorris, Sr. of Water Valley. Maggie is also welcomed by many special friends and family.

Riley Grace Hastings

  Joey and Lindsey Hastings of Bruce are pleased to announce the birth of a daughter, Riley Grace Hastings, born August 20, 2007, in the Special Delivery Services of Baptist Memorial Hospital—North Mississippi at Oxford. She weighed seven pounds, eight ounces.

  Sharing honors as grandparents are Becky Tunnell and Jerry Murphree of Oxford and Tupelo, and Nancy Scroggins and Terry Hastings of Millington, Tennessee and Columbus.

  Also welcoming the new baby is Collin Hastings.
