Samuels – Pope To Wed October 18

Mr. and Mrs. Billy Samuels of Water Valley announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Amber Leigh Samuels, to Shad Ryan Pope, son of Mr. Guy Pope of Cedar Lake, Ind., and Ms. Joann Crawford of Carthage.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of William T. White of Water Valley and the late Mabel R. White and the late Mr. and Mrs. Billy E. Samuels.

She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she received a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She is employed with Pearl River Valley Water Supply District of Ridgeland.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. Robert E. Crawford of Carthage and Mrs. Frances W. Crawford, also of Carthage and the late Mr. Luther Pope and the late Mrs. Estelle Gerald.

A graduate of Mississippi State University he received a bachelor’s degree in business management.  He is employed with Mayfield and Associates of Flowood.

The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. October 18 at First Christian Church in Water Valley.

Shad and Amber will make their home in Madison.
