 Saturday Nights
 Water Valley Church of God, located at 895 Highway 315, west of Water Valley, announces the Life Rope Ministries on Saturday nights, beginning at 6:45 p.m.
  This program provides a life rope to the person thinking of suicide, to the drug addict, alcoholic, and to those hurting. Reach out and grab it.

 Friday, August 31
 St. Andrew M.B. Church will have a Building Fund Program Friday, August 31, beginning at 6 p.m.
    “We are asking for your support. Come and be with us in singing and praising,” invites Rev. Sidney Townes, pastor. The church is located on CR 170, Oakland.

Saturday, September 1
 Camp Ground Baptist Church’s Youth will have a yard sale Saturday, September 1, from 7 until 11 o’clock in the morning. The sale will be held in the activities building.

 Sunday, September 2
 Rev. Ken Izzard will preach his final sermon, ending his tenure as pastorate of Woodland Hills Baptist Church, Sunday, September 2, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
  He and Shelley are leaving  the field to prepare for God’s call to return to the foreign mission field. Daughters, Amanda and Amber, will remain in Mississippi, where they are students at Mississippi College in Jackson.
  Prior to God’s leadership to be the undershepherd  at Woodland Hills for the past eight years, the Izzards were on the mission field for five years in Togo, Africa, and eight years in Ukraine.
  Following the morning service there will be a churchwide fellowship meal. “Everyone is cordially invited to attend the service and to stay for the meal,” stated Betty Shearer, publicity chairman.

    Revival services will begin Sunday, September 2, at 6 p.m.. and continue through Thursday, September 6, in Mt. Grove Church. The services will begin each night at 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Rev. Amos Hightower will be the guest speaker. “Your presence and participation will be greatly appreciated,” stated Rev. Gregory Wilson, pastor.
September 2 – 7
 Wrays Chapel will present “Worship On Water” Sunday, September 2, through Friday, September 7, at 7 p.m. nightly. These services will be at Persimmon Hill Amphitheater on Enid Lake. There will be preaching and singing nightly and on Friday night there will be a concert by The Dinaways.

Sunday, September 9
  The annual Everdale Men and Women Day Program will be held Sunday, September 9, beginning at 3 p.m. The theme of the program this year is “Men and Women on the Move for God in His House.” Pastor Robert Griffin of Lambert and his church family will be special guests. Everdale is located at 410 Calhoun Street, Water Valley.
    “Everyone is invited to attend this special service,” says Rev. Phillip Brackett, pastor, and Sis. Flora Bland, program chairperson.

Sunday, September 16
    The Mt. Moriah District Association Usher Federation’s “All Dressed in White Luncheon” will be held Sunday, September 16, beginning at 3 p.m. in the Mt. Moriah District Association Building, located at 3657 CR 211, Coffeeville.
    Rev. Johnny Roland, 2nd vice moderator of the Mt. Moriah District Association, will deliver the message. Deacon Reginal Baskin is president of the usher ministry and Sis. Sarah Monger is chief usher.
    “Everyone is invited to attend this luncheon,” stated Rev. Amos Sims, association moderator.
