Hummingbird Celebration, Migration Is Scheduled In Holly Springs

Strawberry Plains Audubon Center announces the 2016 Hummingbird Migration and Nature Celebration is scheduled September 9, 10, and 11 at 285 Plains Road in Holly Springs. Everyone is invited to attend this adventurous trip for a fun filled weekend of nature studies, hummingbird banding, children’s activities, nature walks, and wagon rides. Local hummingbird lover Amy Burns reported there are many people in Water Valley who feed and support the local hummers who would enjoy the celebration. 

Burns also captured a video (above) of an albino hummer at her feeder recently, one of about 30 of the small visitors this year.
