FMS Kicks Off Fall Series With Showcase

Foster Music & Arts (FMA)  is excited to present five shows in its fall series, two showcases, two touring acts and a holiday extravaganza.  These variety shows, produced by Kevin Guyer and the FMA crew, will feature a multitude of the area’s finest musicians. Each show will feature guest artists and solo performers as well as a final set by the FMA All Star Revue, the Old School Theater’s ever-evolving and rotating R&B/Soul/Rock dance band.

Show number one kicks off with guest performances, including singer-songwriter Luke Fisher and Oxford’s hot new world music trio Agora (Ricky Burkhead – percussion, Amy Fisher – upright bass and Andrés Díaz – guitar/vocals). The show closes with the FMA All Star R&B Revue featuring veteran guitarist Bud Bays, high-energy saxophonist Casey Lipe, multi-instrumentalist Steve McGregory on Hammond organ and piano, and many others.

The first FMA Showcase takes place Saturday Oct. 22, 7 pm at The Old School Theater in Water Valley, MS. Admission is $10 (you can charge tickets on line or pay cash at the door). Tickets are on sale now at http://buy
