Christmas Shoe Boxes On Their Way

The last of the Christmas shoe boxes were loaded in the trailer at First Baptist Church’s Christian Activity Center Monday as part of Operation Christmas Child. Helping load the boxes are (from left) Vivian Gilley, Relay Center Coordinator; Arlene Wilbourn, helper; and Dale Wilbourn, packer-driver.  The crew helped pack more than a thousand shoe boxes filled with gifts, toys, school supplies, hygiene items and a copy of “the Greatest Gift of All,” an introduction to Jesus Christ. The local church drop off served as a distribution center for multiple counties in northwest Mississippi.
