The second annual Miss and Mr. Tri-Lake St. Jude Pageant will be held March 4, in the Civic Auditorium, located at 905 North Main Street at Water Valley. Last year the pageant raised over $3,000 and this year organizers are hoping for more.
March 3 will be practice night, starting at 6 p.m. Contestants are asked to bring an item of your choice to the rehearsal for a silent auction that will be in progress during the pageant. If your item is not sold we reserve the right to keep it for the next event for St. Jude.
The pageant will be held March 4, with contestants, ages 0-12, girls and boys, competing from 10 a.m.until. Contestants, ages 13-100, males and females, will compete from 4 p.m.-until. The men’s division will be last.
The People’s Choice Awards will be determined by monetary donations (bills only), with the highest amount selecting the queen and king in the children’s division and the adult division.
Dress code is Sunday dress. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges. All kings and queens will receive a crown, banner and trophy. There will be entertainment for both morning and evening competitions.
Entry forms may be picked up at Hair Trendz and Clip, Snip and Curl. Return entry forms to Sherron Savage, 476 CR 371, Water Valley, MS. 38965. Entry fee is $25 and checks and money orders should be made out to Sherron Savage. Return entry forms and fee as soon as possible.
