Coffeeville United Methodist Church will host a Ladies’ Luncheon Saturday, April 29, at 11 a.m., in the church Fellowship Hall. Lunch will be provided, followed by a time of praise and worship. The ladies of Coffeeville UMC invite women to come share a day of worship and encouragement. All ladies are invited to attend, and there is no charge. A nursery will be provided for those needing child care. While the luncheon is free, we ask for reservations so we may prepare for the correct number. Please call the church office at (662) 675-2690 by Monday, April 24, to make reservations for this free event for women and arrange for nursery care, if needed.
Bringing the message will be Cristen Craven Barnard of Senatobia. Barnard will speak on the topic, “Have Faith Now,” about how God makes His presence and love real to us in the process of grief. She is a member of Senatobia First United Methodist Church and serves as the Senatobia District Lay Leader. She is a certified lay servant, Bible study leader, Sunday School teacher, and lay speaker. She serves on several UMC committees and is also a member of the Emmaus Community of NWMS and is part of a jail ministry team in Tate County. She and her husband Robert have five children and three grandchildren. Cristen has lived in Senatobia since 2008.
Previously from the Delta, Cristen has worked as professional artist for 35 years. The UMC ladies are excited to have Barnard bring a message of hope in dark times and know that she will be an encouragement.
