One Killed In Weekend Accident

WATER VALLEY – A 33 year-old Water Valley man was killed in a two-car accident Saturday afternoon on Hwy. 32, west of Water Valley. Yalobusha County Coroner Ronnie Stark reported that Stephen Leroy Baker, Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene by deputy coroner Debbie Jackson.
Funeral services for Baker were held Tuesday, Sept. 26, in Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. A complete obituary is on page 7.
Stark told the Herald that Saturday’s death investigation marked the 13th in September, one of the busiest months since he has served as constable. He reported that the cause of death in the calls were from natural causes.
