Chamber Singers Will Perform At Methodist Church

“We are delighted to offer this concert to our community and welcome everyone to join us, both for the concert and the meet and greet and refreshments afterwards in the Fellowship Hall,” reported Rev. Allan McGraw.

The Chamber Singers of Millsaps College in Jackson will present their first concert of their spring tour at the First United Methodist Church on Sunday evening at 5 p.m. They will be performing their program ‘Peace’, which explores sacred works of each musical style period with pieces by Gibbons, Scarlatti, Brahms, Mozart, Holst, and a few modern favorites.

The Chamber Singers are comprised of the most dedicated vocal musicians on the Millsaps campus and this is reflected by the sensitivity and passion of their performances. A reception will follow and the public is invited. The group’s music director, Jonathan Trotter, previously served as the music director at the Methodist Church choir while attending the University of Mississippi.
