WATER VALLEY– Fifty-two seniors are expected to don the blue cap and gown and walk across the stage at the Blue Devil high school football field Friday night. Graduation activities will begin promptly at 7 p.m.

The stage will be placed on the 50 yard-line and seniors will enter the field from the field house. There will be three speakers from the class: Valedictorian Carlye Washington, Salutatorian Millie Eubanks and Class Historian Hannah Higdon.

Handicap parking will be available in front of the main entrance on the home side of the football field. A drive through will also be available, to drop off a handicap or elderly attendee. The field house parking lot will be reserved for school administrators. Parking for graduates will be located in the parking lot across Wise Street. A golf cart will also be available to assist people who need help getting to the football field stands. The visitors’ entrance will be closed.

Superintendent Dr. Michael McInnis reported that school officials are monitoring the forecast and, in case of inclement weather, alternate plans will be announced later in the week.

Seniors will also do a walk through of the elementary and high school Thursday morning starting at 8:30 a.m. A senior awards program follows at 9:30 a.m.
