Black And Associates Earns Business Spotlight Award
WATER VALLEY – Black & Associates, P.A. was presented the prestigious Business Spotlight Award by the Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce on Monday, June 3. Chamber Board member Terry Champion presented the award to the business that has been a cornerstone in the community for almost four decades.
Black and Associates, P.A. Originally began business on Jan. 1, 1981, as Joseph Black, Jr., CPA PA when the practice of Bennie Taylor CPA was purchased. The firm’s name was changed on May 1, 1998, to Black & Associates, P.A. The business has been in continuous operation for 38 years. Including Black, Black & Associates employs five people. Tonna Logan has been employed at the business for 38 years, Barbara Gay and Latisha Bramlett both have worked there for 11 years, and Mary Reed for five years. The operation includes an office at 306 Railroad Street and a second office at 7195 Swinnea Suite C in Southaven.
Black provides tax, accounting, attestation, business and financial planning services to clients primarily in the North Mississippi area. Clients services include individuals, corporations, limited liability companies, churches and non-profit organizations.

In honor of this Business Spotlight award for Black and Associates, P.A. the Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce is offering a $25 gift card to the person whose name is drawn at noon on Friday, June 14. Everyone is encouraged to participate in this drawing, and you have “10 days and two ways” to sign up between June 5 and June 14.

Please note you MUST answer the question to participate even though a correct answer is not required to win. “LIKES” only on FB and hand-written ballots with no answer supplied will not be included in the drawing.
Both types of ballots will be collected and combined, one per person; and the winner will be called OR notified on FaceBook. The winner’s name and photograph will be published in the following edition of the North Mississippi Herald.
