I hope everyone is having a good week. It has been hot so far for sure. We got the pool up and are spending a lot of time in it. It’s only June and I’m concerned it’s going to be a really hot summer.
It’s been a pretty tough week. Last Thursday we lost my cousin, who was only 39. It has really made me think about how short life is. I thank God for all the wonderful people I have in my life. I’ve been very aware of things.
Sunday was a beautiful day at Mt. Liberty. It was baby dedication day and we had five of our Mt Liberty babies dedicated to the Lord. Toby and Chandler Shaw dedicated their children, Paxton, Sophie and Baylor. Cody and Taylor Person dedicated their children, Presleigh and Grogan Tate. It was a beautiful ceremony.
Bro. Grant Coffey told us about Hannah and how she was barren. She prayed for a child and God granted her a son, Samuel. She dedicated him over to the Lord and he was blessed. He became a major prophet that brought King Saul, then King David. It is important that we dedicate our children to God. It doesn’t save them, but it points them in the right direction.
Children are the future of the church. It’s so important to bring them. Don’t let the crying and playing keep you from bringing them to church. It’s a beautiful sound because it’s the sound of the future.
Sunday night Coy Anna Stewart rededicate her life and was baptized. There’s so much movement going on in our church right now. It’s amazing to me.
Sister Leigh Anne Coffey has talked to other members of the congregation and they are inspired to serve the Lord. Opal said she feels like she’s home here. Mrs. Anne said she’s never seen anything like it in all the years she’s been here. Garrett said it’s amazing how you can feel the Spirit.
We are truly a blessed people. God is showing up and showing out. If you’re looking for a home church, we invite you to join us at Mt Liberty. Services start at 11 each Sunday morning.
