Waylon and Holly Dukes took their two children, Haven Rose and Waylon Jr., to Cossar State Park Saturday for the Trunk or Treat event. Haven Rose had a good time and met up with sweet, little Jolee Robinson, daughter of John Adam and Blake Robinson. Baby Waylon slept through most of the day but next year he will be old enough to enjoy.

While Sheryn McCannon Goode and daughter, Sunshine Huff, were on vacation in Galveston, Texas, Sheryn had a heart attack. She was able to have a procedure that included placement of two stents. After discussing with doctors they will try to fix the other two blockages. She is back in Tillatoba now but went to see her doctor in Memphis Monday morning. Please keep her in your prayers!! This was a very difficult experience being so far from home. She truly appreciates all of your calls, text, and prayers!

Deborah McCool says they haven’t done anything lately. She did say her two granddaughters, Hannah and Caitlyn Beavers went to Biloxi for Cruising The Coast Car Show for a few days. They went with Hannah’s boyfriend and his family. They reported a wonderful time.

Martha Box says the fall colors about town are spectacular and real confirmation of God’s artistic creations in this world!

Martha asks for prayers for Ginger, her knee popped causing severe pain. She will know more about treatment after MRI results Monday. It’s hard to keep Martha Jr. down and not up working.

Martha reported a great time of worship at Pine Grove Baptist Church Sunday with soul-touching music and shared love and preaching the Word!

“I know all present felt the Holy Spirit as much as I did. It is Well with my soul,” Martha added.

And all that good cooking was so good after she dieted all week.

Your writer’s BFF, Susan Bell, had shoulder surgery recently and is in therapy.

She is doing pretty good, but just a little sore. To tell the truth, I think she over did it just a little!

David and I enjoyed our company this week that included our grandson Junior Dukes; Bobby Ray Jackson; Brad, Frankie and Bradley Holliday; and my daughter, Donna. Y’all come back, you hear!

Happy 46th anniversary to Kelly and Ping Pong Paris! Just a little advice Ping, a pearl is recommended. It could mean a pearl-colored car, I guess.

Happy belated birthday to Candy Box, who celebrated on Oct. 29.

Starting our November “Happy Birthdays” are Kristin Sturdivant Douglas on the 1st; Virginia Beavers and Dale Arnold on the 2nd; Kyle Scott and Michelle Sneed on the 3rd; Emily Little on the 4th; Margie Crawford on the 5th; and Gary Chambers on the 7th.
