I hope it’s been a great week for everyone. Things are going good here, we are all getting ready for Christmas but there is still so much to do.
Sunday morning, we had our Christmas program at Mt. Liberty Church. The ladies and Bro. Pat did a great job. The music was beautiful. The story was from the prophets predicting the birth of Jesus. Jesus’ birth was told over 600 years before he was born. Jesus fulfilled every prophecy that said he would.
Leigh Anne Coffey wants to thank everyone for all their hard work and dedication that went into the program. While she wrote it, it wouldn’t have been executed perfectly without everyone who participated. All the details are so l important. We also had our dinner and fellowship after church Sunday and had a great time as always. The holidays can be so hard and I’m truly grateful for my church family. A special thank-you to everyone who decorated, cooked, and cleaned. We thank our guests that joined us. It was a great day in the Lord’s house.
Next Sunday, Jeff will be getting baptized. We’re so happy for him as he begins his journey. That profession of faith is the most important decision a person can make. We would like to ask for special prayers for the family of Chris Gossett. It’s hard to lose a loved one, so we pray for all those who are having a hard time this holiday season. Just remember that Jesus is why we celebrate. And while we all suffer loss; Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice so that our loss isn’t forever. Through his birth, death, and resurrection, we have eternal life. That’s what keeps me going. I miss my dad so much, but I know I’ll see him again. Jesus made that possible.
Bro. Grant Coffey was awarded employee of the year through his secular job. We’re very proud of him. He works hard during the week and still brings a spirit-filled message to us every Sunday. We really appreciate all his hard work. He uses his experiences throughout the week for confirmation that the Lord wants him to speak on a particular subject. It takes discipline to pay attention to the Lord like that. Even if it’s something bad, it’s a message in our lives somehow. I think that is a true calling of God’s work.
Next week, y’all be on the lookout for us as we plan to do a little Christmas caroling Friday night,, weather permitting. We’re looking forward to getting out in the community and celebrating the holidays. Christmas carols are so fun.
I pray you all continue to have a blessed week. If you’re looking for a home church, we invite you to join us. Services start at 11 a.m.
